Gage, Henry Tifft

1852 - Born on the 25th of December in Geneva, New York U.S.A.

1877 - He opened a law office in Los Angeles.

1880 - He married Francesca V. Rains.

1881 - He was  Active in Republican politics and elected in Los Angeles City Attorney.

1888 - He was delegate to the Republican national convention at Chicago.

1898 - He was elected as 20th governor of California U.S.A.

1909 - He was appointed by President William Howard Taft (27th President of the United States) as a Minister

            to Portugal.

1924 - Died on the age of 72 in Los Angeles U.S.A.

1929 - On the 28th of October, "Gage Avenue" in Los Angeles was named after him.
