1978 - Born on December 2nd in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Canadian singer.

1987 - She began broadening her instrumental skills to include a considerably larger quantity of saliva, taking up the trombone and putting it to use in jazz, classical and marching band contexts.

2000 - Her debut offering "Whoa Nelly!" was on the streets and manhandling the music charts.

2001 - Received a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

         - Received Juno Awards for Best Singel, Best New Solo Artist, Best Producer and Best Songwriter.

2002 - Won "Best Pop Vocal, Female" Grammy for her song "I'm Like A Bird".

2003 - Her second album "Folklore", a less pop-oriented return to her blend of musical influences was made and a greater emphasis was placed on non-Western sources.

2007 - Engaged to sound engineer Demacio 'Demo' Castellon on July 6th.
