1969 – Born in Syracuse New York on the 17th of May.
1990-1993 – He attended the university from spring and holds a B.A. in interior design.
1998 – Filicia was hired after an internship by the design firm Parish Hadley, then worked for Robert Metzger Interiors and at Jeffrey Bilhuber before opening his own interior design company, Thom Filicia Inc.
2003 – Interior design consultant on television program "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy".
2005 – His firm was chosen as the exclusive design firm for the US Pavilion at the World’s Fair.
– Queer Eye won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program, and received a nomination again in the same category.
2006 – He was chosen as one of House Beautiful’s Top 100 American Designers and House & Garden’s Top 50 "Tastemakers."
