1901 – Fadeyev was born on the 24th of December and was raised up in Chuguyevka, Primorsky Krai.

1918 – He joined the guerilla movement against the Japanese interventionists and the White Army during the Russian Civil War.

1927 – He published the novel entitled The Rout which described youthful guerilla fighters during the war.

1945 – He wrote the novel entitled The Young Guard, which was based on real events of World War II.

1946 – He was of the co-founders of the Union of Soviet Writers and was elected Chairman.

1956 – He died on the 13th of May.
