Evans, Robert(orig. Robert J. Shapera)
1930 – He was born on the 29th day of June this year in York. He grew up on New York City's Upper West Side.
1950 – In the mid part of this year, he was spotted by actress Norma Shearer at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The same year, Evans also caught the eye of Darryl F. Zanuck, who cast him as a bullfighter in a film adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises.
1952 – His film debut a Lydia Bailey in this year.
1957 – This year, he both appeared in the movie “Man of Thousand Face” and “The Sun Also Rises”
1972 – He produced his first film “The Godfather” this year.
1980 – He began to fall on hard times in the early part of this year, when during the production of Popeye, he was convicted for attempting to buy cocaine. Things got even worse for him when he began filming The Cotton Club. He was slated to direct, but due to production complications, Francis Ford Coppola was called in.
1994 – He wrote in his autobiography The Kid Stays in the Picture that he was a "tangential character, at best" concerning the case.
2003 – He appeared in the TV series “Kid Notorious”. He also produced the movie “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” this year.
