1965 – She was born on the 10th day of May of this year in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. She knew she wanted to become a model when she was 12 years old.
1978 – A talent agent spotted her at the 1978 Miss Teen Niagara Contest. She later moved to New York City and signed with Elite Model Management there. She then moved to Paris, to further her career. She also appeared in music videos with George Michael.
1987 – She was married to Elite executive Gerald Marie from this year to 1993.
1990 – She also appeared in George Michael's video Freedom '90.
1992 - She has also dated actor Kyle MacLachlan.
1996 she won the VH1 Fashion Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.
1998 – She had frequently dated French soccer player Fabien Barthez for two years.
1999 - Evangelista suffered a miscarriage after being 6 months pregnant by French soccer player Fabien Barthez.
2005 – She was honored as a World Style Icon at the Women's World Awards held in Germany. She was also linked to Formula 1 driver Paolo Barilla.
2006 - To her delight, on the 11th of October this year, she gave birth to son, Augustin James. The father is an unnamed New York architect.
