1875 – Born on the 20th of September in Buttenhausen, Württemberg, Germany.

1903 – He joined the Centre Party and was elected to the Reichstag.

1918 – Prince Max von Baden’s last act as Chancellor was thus to send Erzberger on the 7th of November to negotiate with the Allies in the Forest of Compiègne.

         – He signed the armistice ending World War I  on 11th of November in Compiègne, France.

1919 – He became finance minister.

1920 – He was forced from office of finance minister.

1921 – He was murdered in Bad Griesbach, Ortenau, Germany on the 26th of August.
