1950 - Erikson left the University of California at Berkeley when professors there were asked to sign loyalty oaths.

         - Wrote "Childhood and Society".

1958 - "Young Man Luther".

1869 - His book Gandhi's Truth, which focused more on his theory as applied to later phases in the life cycle, won Erikson a Pulitzer Prize and a U.S. National Book Award.

1944 - Died on the 12th of May.
