1897 - Born on the 4th of February in Fürth, Germany.

1913 - He was a commercial apprentice.

1916 - He joined the German forces during World War I as a artilleryman.

1918 - He fought in Romania and was seriously injured near Ypres, Belgium.

1925 - He became executive in his parents' company.

1928 - He became assistant at the Institut für Wirtschaftsbeobachtung der deutschen
           Fertigware.

1942 - He lost his job but continued to work on the subject privately.

1944 - He wrote War Finances and Debt Consolidation.

1947 - He became chairman of the Sonderstelle Geld und Kredit.

1948 - He was elected as a Director of Economics by the Bizonal Economic Council.

1949 - He stood for election in a constituency in Baden-Württemberg for the first West
           German parliament after the war.

1963 - He was elected as a Chancellor in Germany.

1965 - He was was re-elected as a Chancellor.

1977 - He died on the 5th of May in Bonn, Germany.
