Engel, Ernst
1821 - Born on the 26th of March in Dresden, Germany.
1848 - He was attached to the Royal Commission in Saxony, and appointed to determine the relations
between trade and labor.
1850 - He was directed by the government to assist in the organization of the German Industrial
Exhibition of Leipzig, Gremany.
1854 - He was induced to enter the government service as a chief of the newly instituted statistical department.
1858 - He retired as a chief of the department.
1860 - He was summoned to Berlin, Germany as a director of the statistical department.
1882 - He retired and lived henceforward in Radebeul, Saxony, Germany.
1896 - He died on the 8th of December in Radebeul, Saxony, Germany.
