Einaudi, Luigi
1874 - Born in Carrù, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont on the 24th of March.
1919 - He was elected Senator of the Kingdom of Italy.
1926 - He stopped to work for Italian newspapers.
1943 - His collaboration for the Corriere della Sera after the fall of the Fascist regime.
1944 - He fled to Switzerland, returning to Italy.
1945-1948 - Einaudi was Governor of the Bank of Italy from January 5th until May 11th and was also a founding member of the National Consult which opened the way to the new Parliament of the Italian Republic after World War II.
- He was Minister of Finances, Treasures and Balance, as well as vice-Premier.
1948 - On the 11th of May, he was elected the second President of the Italian Republic.
1961 - Died in Rome on the 30th of October.
