Egan, William Allen

1914 - Born on the 8th of October.

1924 - He worked in a local cannery.

1932 - He graduated in Valdez High School,Alaska as a valedictorian.

1940 - He ran successfully as the Democratic candidate for Valdez in the Alaska Territorial House

              of Representatives.

1941 - He married to Neva McKittrick.

1943 - He was as Mayor of Valdez, Alaska.

1953 - He was elected to the upper house Alaska Senate.

1959 - He decided to run as the first state governor.

1966 - He leaved as a governor.

1970 - He was elected again as a governor.

1974 - He retired from public and political life.

1984 - He died on the 6th of May because of lung cancer.
