1951 - Born on July 14th in Zurich, Switzerland and grew up in Princeton, New Jersey, surrounded by scientists. An entrepreneur and forecaster who is considered by many to be the most powerful woman in the computer industry, admired for her business skills, her ability to predict computer and Internet trends, and her vision for the Internet.

1974 - Esther Dyson began her Harvard studies at age 16, and graduated with a degree in economics. While at Harvard, she wrote for the campus paper, the Crimson.

         - Was a reporter for "Forbes" magazine.

1977 - Securities analyst for New Court Securities.

1980 - Securities analyst for Oppenheimer and Company.

1993 - The president of EDVenture Holdings.

1996 - Wrote The Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires.

1997 - Her book of trend predictions was called Release 2.0: A Design for Living in the Digital Age.

1999 - Member of the Board of WPP Group.
