1576 - Born on October 12th in Yardley-Hastings, Northampton, England. Governor Thomas Dudley was the second Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony and was commissioned President of the United Colonies.

1630 - He emigrated to America as deputy governor of the Massachusetts Bay colony and spent the remainder of his life in one public office or another, being elected deputy governor 13 times and serving four terms as governor.

1634 - He was elected as the Governor of Massachusetts.

1653 - Died on July 31st in Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts.
