Drenner, Karla
1961 - Karla Drenner, born on September 10th in Charleston, West Virginia. State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) made history when she was elected to the state House of Representatives, becoming Georgia’s first and only openly gay state legislator.
2000 - Representative Drenner was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives on November 7th.
2001-2002 - Was the recipient of the Georgia League of Conservation Voters, Environmental Leadership award.
