- She married Brent Dragila, a Gulf War veteran with an eye on a career in law enforcement.
1996 - In January, she established a new American record at 12-11 3/4.
2000 - Won the first-ever women's Olympic pole vault with a world record.
- Captured a $50,000 bonus from USA Track & Field at the USA Indoor Championships by raising the world record to 4.62m.
