1965 – He was born on the 4th day of April this year in New York City, New York.
1970 – He had a minor role-playing a puppy in his father's film “Pound” this year.
1980 – He became known during this year and early 1990s, after a series of well-reviewed performances in Hollywood films.
1985 – He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, but was a cast member for only one season.
1987 - He went on to star in “The Pick-up Artist”
1990 – He resumed his acting career, appearing on the television series Ally McBeal as well as in a number of supporting and lead film roles, including the upcoming Iron Man.
1992 - He starred as Charlie Chaplin in Chaplin, a role that garnered him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
2000 – He became a regular on the television series Ally McBeal.
2001 – He also appeared in Elton John video "I Want Love".
2004 – He released his debut musical album on the November of this year "The Futurist" on Sony Classical, for which he designed the cover art.
2005 – He was invited to open for Duran Duran, but declined due to film commitments.
2006 – He would star in the film Iron Man as the titular character, the film is scheduled for release on May 2, 2008.
