         - She won the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland, for Switzerland, with the song "Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi" (don't leave without me). The TV broadcast of the contest was watched by 600 million viewers throughout Europe and the Middle-East.

1999 - Celine took a break from pillaging the world and focusing instead on starting a family.

2000 - Renewed wedding vows with husband René Angelil at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 5th.

2001 - She gave birth to their son, Rene Charles Angelil on January 25th.

         - Appeared at the benefit concert "A Tribute To Heroes" singing the song "God Bless America" in dedication to the families, friends, victims, & heroes of the World Trade Center tragedy on September.

2002 - She returned to the spotlight in releasing yet another hit album.

         - The record A New Day Has Come was on the shelves, and the following year a three-year, five-night-a-week residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas was initiated, specially designed to bring extravagant concert spectacles to an all-time absurdist peak.

2003 - Céline began a three-year commitment to perform in an arena built for her in Las Vegas.

         - She received a star on the Canadian Walk of Fame in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 25th.
