1781 - Born on September 16th in Mattsee, Salzburg. Austrian music publisher and composer. He published works by Beethoven and Schubert and composed the waltz theme of Beethoven's Diabelli Variations.
1803 - He moved to Vienna where he worked as a piano and guitar teacher, composer, music publisher and musician.
1822 - Diabelli wrote a charming little waltz for the piano.
- He composed waltz on which Beethoven's "Thirty-Three Variations" (also "Diabelli Variations") are based.
1858 - Died on April 7th in Vienna.
