1729 - Became the Marquess of Hartington.

1731 - Married to Lady Charlotte Elizabeth Boyle, Baroness Clifford, the daughter and heiress of the 3rd Earl of Burlington of the 1st creation, a famous architect and art collector.

1751 - Was The Rt. Hon. Marquess of Hartington.

1755 - Was appointed as the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland and The Duke of Devonshire, PC.

1756 - Became the Prime Minister of Great Britain.

1764 - Died on October 2nd in Spa, Belgium.
