Demy, Jacques
1931 - Born on June 5th in Pontchâteau, Loire-Atlantique, Pays-de-la-Loire, France. French director best known for his romantic musical-comedy films.
1952-1957 - Was an assistant to animator Paul Grimault and to director Georges Roquier.
1962 - Married to Agnes Varda.
1972 - Directed the following films: The Pied Piper, Donkey Skin, The Young Girls of Rochefort, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Bay of Angels and Lola.
1977 - Member of jury at the Cannes Film Festival.
1990 - Died of cerebral hemorrhage on October 27th in Paris, France.
