Dean, John Gunther

1926 - Born on the 24th of February in Breslau, Germany.

1942 - He enrolled at Harvard University.

1944 - He served in the United States Army.

1949 - He received his doctorate in Law from the Sorbonne.

1950 - He received his M.A. (Master of Arts) in Harvard University.

         - He worked in the government as a economic analyst with the European Headquarters of the Economic

               Cooperation Administration in Paris, France.

1951 - He was an industrial analyst with ECA (Electrical Contractors Association) in Brussels, Belgium.

1953 - He became Assistant Economic Commissioner with the International Cooperation Administration in

              French Indo-China.

1954 - He passed he Foreign Service Examination.

          - He served as a officer with the United States Department of State.

1956 - He served as a political officer in Vientiane, Laos.

1960 - He was chargé d'affaires (in charge of business) in Bamako, Mali.

1961 - He became the officer in charge of Mali-Togo affairs in the Department of State.

1963 - He became adviser to the U.S. delegation to the 18th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

1964 - He was an international relations officer in the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) section of

             the Department of State.

1970 - He served as a Regional Director for Civil operation and Development Service.
