1944 - Born on the 17th of November in Neptune, New Jersey. He is an Emmy Award-winning American actor, director, and an Oscar-nominated producer.
1961 - He boarded at Oratory Preparatory School, in Summit, New Jersey, and graduated.
1978 - 1983 - First gained prominence for his portrayal of "Louie De Palma" on the popular ABC and NBC TV series Taxi.
1982 - He married actress Rhea Perlman.
1984 - As the comic rogue in the romantic adventure Romancing the Stone, starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
