1915 – Born on the 20th of May in Kibbutz.

1929 – At the age of 14, he joined the Hagan.

1939 – He was arrested by the British but released after two years in prison.

1941 – He served the Australian 7th Division Army, fighting Vichy French forces in Syria.

          – He lost his left eye when he was hit by a sniper’s rifle and began wearing the black eye patch that became his trademark.

1948 – During the Arab-Israeli War, he became Commander of Defense in the Jordan Valley

1955 – He became Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces.

1959 – He joined the Mapai a Israel Labor Party after retired from Military.

1964 – He became Minister of Agriculture in Israel.

1967 – He was appointed to as a Israel Minister of Defense.

1977 – He became Foreign Minister in the new Likud government a centre-right political party in Israel.

1981 – He formed a new political party Telem.

         – On the 16th of October he died from a massive heart attack.
