1874 – George Breckenridge Davis was born in Ware, Massachusetts.

 

1871 – Graduated at West Point.

 

1887 – He joined the judge advocate general’s department.

 

1891 – Graduated from the Columbian University law school.

 

1897 – Wrote "The Elements of Law".

 

1898 – Wrote A Treatise on the Military Law of the United States.

 

1901 – He became judge advocate general.

 

1907 – Davis was an American delegate to the Second Hague Conference.

 

1911 – He retired as major general.
