1874 - George Breckenridge Davis was born in Ware, Massachusetts.
1871 - Graduated at West Point.
1887 - He joined the judge advocate general's department.
1891 - Graduated from the Columbian University law school.
1897 - Wrote "The Elements of Law".
1898 - Wrote A Treatise on the Military Law of the United States.
1901 - He became judge advocate general.
1907 - Davis was an American delegate to the Second Hague Conference.
1911 - He retired as major general.
