Davenport, Herbert Joseph
1861 - Herbert Joseph Davenport was born in Vermont, Davenport.
1898 - Obtained his degree at Chicago.
Became a high school principal before returning to Chicago as a faculty member.
1902 - Became an assistant professor at the University of Chicago.
1908 - He moved to the University of Missouri to become department head and first dean of the College of Business.
1916 - Transferred to Cornell, where he finished his academic career.
