1927 - Sheldon Datz was born on the 21st of July in New York City, son of Clara and Jacob Datz.

 

He received degrees in Chemistry from Columbia University and University of Tennessee.

 

He works for inventing the molecular beam technique.

 

Won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for Dudley R. Herschbach, Yuan T. Lee and John Charles Polanyi.

 

2000 - He shared the Fermi Award with Sidney Drell and a third scientist.
