1951 - Born Carl Higgans on the 21st of April in Liège, Belgium.
1975 - Established Derives, the production company that produced sixty documentary films.
1999 - With Luc, co-directed movie "Rosetta" which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
2005 - Won the Palme d'Or a second time for their film L'Enfant (The Child).
