1813 – Georges Darboy was born on the 16th of January in Fayl-Billot, Haute-Marne in northeast France.
1836 – Studied with distinction at the seminary at Langres, and was ordained priest.
1859 – He was appointed bishop of Nancy.
1863 – In January he was raised to the archbishopric of Paris.
1871 – On 4th of April, he was arrested by the communards as a hostage and confined in the prison at Mazas.
– On 24th of May he was shot within the prison along with several other prominent hostages.
