1763 - Born in Schwetzingen on the 15th of June. The most important member of a German family of musicians of Italian ancestry.
1778 - Studied with his father and with Georg Joseph Vogler before he joined the superlative orchestra of the elector Karl Theodor.
- He studied composition with Abbé Vogler, before he at the age of 15 entered the Court Orchestra as cellist.
1780 - The first of his woodwind compositions was published at Mannheim.
1783 - Moved to Münich and took over his fathers post upon his retirement. He enjoyed quite some succes as operacomposer.
1784 - He rejoined the main court in Munich as principal cellist-taking his father's position.
1790 - Married the singer Maria Margarethe Marchand.
1798 - He rose to the position of assistant Kapellmeister in one of the most important musical centers of Europe.
1807 - He left Munich to be Kapellmeister in the smaller and less important Stuttgart court of Frederick I.
- Appeared as Hofkapellmeister in Stuttgart.
1826 - Franz Ignaz Danzi died on 13th of April.
