Daly, Marcus
US (Irish-born) copper businessman
1841 - Born on the 5th of December in Derrylea, Ireland. He was known as one of the three "Copper Kings" of Butte, Montana, USA.
1856 - Emigrated from Ireland to the United States at the age of fifteen.
1880 - Daly founded his fortune on the Anaconda Copper Mine in Butte, Montana.
1885 - Became a millionaire and owner of the Anaconda Copper Mining (ACM) Company.
1894 - Daly unsuccessful campaign to have Anaconda designated as Montana's state capital.
1891 - Invested some of his money in horse breeding and became the owner of Tammany, one of the world's fastest racehorses.
1900 - He died on 12th of November in New York City, USA.
