1918 – Born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on the 23rd of October.


1947-1966 – Starred in the TV series Foreign Intrigue and also guest starred in Star Trek, Mission Impossible, The Twilight Zone ("A Stop at Willoughby"), Gun smoke, The Virginian, and Twelve O’clock High.


Played the role as Chad Everett’s superior in the long-running hospital drama series Medical Center.


1969 – Best remembered for his portrayal of Mr. Flint in the Star Trek episode Requiem for Methuselah.


His last screen feature was as Mr. Boyce in the mini-series Roots: The Next Generations.


1978 – He died of heart failure in Nyack, New York, aged 59, on the 3rd of July.


He is the father of Tyne Daly.
