1869 – Born on the 30th of November in Stenstorp, in present day Falköping municipality, Sweden.

 

1892 – He invented a milk-fat tester to check milk quality of the milk delivered.

 

1896 – Admitted to the Chalmers University of Technology where he earned his Master’s degree and a Doctorate.

 

1901 – Married Elma Persson, they had two daughters and two sons,Gunnar and Anders.

 

1906 – Chief Engineer at the Gas Accumulator Company (manufacturer and distributor of acetylene).

 

1909-1937 – Managing Director of the renamed company Svenska Aktiebolaget Gasaccumulator (AGA).

 

1912 – Dalén was blinded in an Acetylene explosion.

 

       – Awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his automatic regulator for lighthouses and buoys.

 

1922 – He invented the AGA cooker

 

1937 – Nils Gustaf Dalén died on 9th of December.
