1912 - Born Ellsworth Tenney Dahlgren on the 15th of June in San Francisco, California.

 

1935-1946 - Major League Baseball player for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Boston Braves, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Browns, Brooklyn Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

 

1939 - Played first base for New York Yankees in game against Detroit Tigers at Briggs Field, replacing Lou Gehrig and breaking Gehrig's streak of 2,130 consecutive games played.

 

1943 - Named as National League All-Star Team.

 

1996 - He died on 4th of September in Arcadia, California.
