1727 – Naphtali Daggett was born on the 8th of September.
1748 – Graduated from Yale University.
1751 – Became pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Smithtown, Long Island.
1756 – He became professor of divinity at Yale.
1776-1777 – Became the 2nd president of Yale pro tempore on the resignation of its first president, Thomas Clap.
1779 – Rev. Daggett took up arms in defense but was taken prisoner, and was forced to serve as a guide.
1780 – He was bayoneted by his captors and died of his wounds, on 25th of November.
