1962 - Born on the 25th of March in Marlborough, Massachusetts. American actress.

1984 - Her career began when she joined the cast of the daytime soap opera "The Edge of Night".

1985 - She starred opposite Carroll O'Connor in the television film "Brass".

1986 - She went on to portray Kate Sanders on the ABC daytime drama, "One Life to Live".

1991 - She guest-starred on the 13th season of "Knots Landing" as the mysterious wife of Pierce Lawton.

1992-1997 - She is also well known for her portrayal of the mentally unbalanced Dr. Kimberly Shaw on "Melrose Place".

2005 - She was nominated for her first Emmy for her work as Bree Hodge on "Desperate Housewives".

         - Her publicist told the American celebrity news magazine US Weekly that Cross had accepted the proposal of Tom Mahoney.

         - Appeared on the cover of the newly launched Psychologies magazine in the United Kingdom. In the interview she discusses her passion for psychology and therapy.

         - Cross holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from Antioch University.

2006 - Married to Tom Mahoney on June 24th.

         - Earned her third consecutive nomination for the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy Series with the show.

         - On the 6th of September, she announced that she was pregnant and due in April next year and on the 20th of September she revealed that she is expecting twins.

2007 - On the 11th of January, Cross was placed on precautionary bedrest until their delivery, requiring her to suspend her Desperate Housewives acting duties.

         - On the 20th of February, Cross gave birth to fraternal twin daughters, Eden and Savannah at a Los Angeles hospital.
