1942 - Born on July 16th in Albury, New South Wales. Australian tennis player who dominated women's competition in the 1960s.

1962 - She went to Wimbledon as a heavy favorite.

1966 - She retired, married and started a family.

1970 - Became the second woman (after Maureen Connolly) to win the grand slam of tennis singles: the British (Wimbledon), U.S., Australian, and French titles in the same year.

1979 - She was enshrined in the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

1991 - She was ordained as a Christian minister and founded the Victory Life Church in Perth, Australia.
