1939 – She was born on the 20th day of July this year in Chicago.
1957 – She moved to Los Angeles this year to attend UCLA art school.
1962 – She graduated this year in Phi Beta Kappa.
1964 - She received her MA from UCLA in painting and sculpture.
1966 – She was shown in "Primary Structures," a major minimalist exhibition at the Jewish Museum.
1970 – She founded the first Feminist Art program at California State University at Fresno.
1971 - She and Miriam Schapiro jointly founded the Cal Arts Feminist Art Program for the California Institute of the Arts.
1973 – She co-founded the Feminist Studio Workshop, located inside the Los Angeles Women's Building, a seminal feminist art teaching and exhibition space.
1979 – She is most famous for her 1974-1979 work The Dinner Party.
1980 – Her other famous works include Birth Project (which brought together a national network of skilled needle-workers 1980 -1985).
1994 – Her famous works also include “Resolutions”, which returned to the theme of feminism, a thread that runs through all of her work.
2007 – Her forthcoming biography, Becoming Judy Chicago, by Dr. Gail Levin, will be released in February this year.
