1954 - Born on April 7 in Victoria Peak, Hong Kong, China.
1961-1971 - Studied at Chinese Opera Research Institute, but due to financial crisis he transferred to Peking Opera Shool.
1983 - Married Taiwanese actress Lin Feng-Jiao.
1983-1988 - Starred in a few movies namely "Prodigal Son", "Project A", "Winners and Sinners" in 1983. Also "Wheels on Meals" in 1984, "Lucky Stars" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars", "Heart of Dragon", "The Protector" all in 1985 and "Dragons Forever" in 1988.
1990 - He was offered different roles as a villain in a few Hollywood movies but declined because of his belief that he should be a good model to children hooked to movies especially form his country.
1995 - His movie "Rumble in the Bronx" was his official debut in North America as the this movie was released worldwide.
