1936 - Born on August 21st in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. American basketball player.

1959-1960 - He was the NBA Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player.

         - He joined the Philadelphia Warriors.

1965-1968 - He was named as the NBA Most Valuable Player.

         - He was a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angels Lakers.

         - He led the NBA in assists and was named to the league All-Defensive team.

1978 - Chamberlain was elected to the Naismith Hall of Fame.

1979 - He was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame.

1984 - Starred in the film, Conan the Destroyer.

1999 - Died on October 12th in Bel-Air, California.

         - He helped found the International Volleyball Association and has sponsored several Southern California track teams.
