1925 – He was the president of Modern Library.

1927 – He founded Random House.

         – He was th 1st president of Random House.

1952 – He was regular panelist on television show "What’s My Line?".

1965-1970 – He became chairman of Random House.

1971 – Cerf died in Mount Kisco, New York on the 27th of August.
