1950 - Born on April 12th in New York City. American actor.

1968 - He started acting professionally when he was 18, fresh out of high school.

1970 - He starred in television series "The Partridge Family" as Keith Partridge.

1971 - By the time he was 21, he was the music world's highest-paid solo performer, with non-Partridge hits including "Cherish" and "Could It Be Forever".

1974 - His concert at London's White City Stadium, billed as Cassidy's last public performance, thousands of teenage girls crushed against each other to get closer to the stage.

         - After two days in a coma, one 14-year-old fan died of traumatic asphyxia, crushed to death under thousands of pounds of fellow fans. Five hundred more fans were injured, dozens enough to be hospitalized.

1977 - Married to Kay Lenz on November 25th.

1978 - He starred as in the television series, Man Undercover.

1984 - Married to Meryl-Ann Tanz, a horse breeder, on December 15th.

1990 - He wrote the theme song for the sitcoms The John Larroquette Show and Ask Harriet.
