1930 - Joined the Art Students League
- Designed costumes for the dance chorus from Roxy Music Hall
1943 - Transferred to 20th Century Fox in Hollywood
1940 - Created attires for 33 major films
1944 - Made costume for "Laura"
1949 - Moved back to New York
1953 - Launched her own business
1961 - Received the American Designers Coty Award
1972 - Put up the Knittery, for the manufacturing of hand-knitted clothing from yarns that are hand-spun
1977 - Retired as a fashion designer
2000 - Died of complications from her heart surgery
