1955 - Carvey was born June 2nd in Missoula, Montana. Emmy-award winning comedian Dana Carvey has maintained a tremendous career.

1978 - Received his B.A. degree in Communications in San Francisco State University, San Francisco, California.

1983 - Married Paula Zwagerman on January 8th.

1986 - A repertory member of Saturday Night Live.

1992 - On television, he hosted the presentation of the MTV Music Awards, costarred in two pilots and was a member of the Showtime special Salute to the Improvisation, with Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Robert Klein.  

1993 - Received an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program.

1998 - Undergone a heart bypass operation.
