Carter, Hamish Clive
1971 - Born on April 28th in Auckland, New Zealand. A New Zealand triathlete.
1994 - He had some low moments, during an awful cycling accident when he broke his collarbone.
2000 - The Aucklander held the world No 1 ranking when he arrived in Sydney in 2000 to contest the first Olympic triathlon.
2002 - On Manchester Commonwealth Games, Carter competed impressively, finishing with a bronze medal. But still that flop at Sydney rankled.
2004 - He earned selection for the Athens Olympics, but by games time he was no longer the New Zealand triathlon kingpin.
2006 - He won a silver medal from the International Triathlon Union world cup circuit as a professional.
2007 - He announced his retirement on March 6th.
