1956 - Chris Carter, born on the 13th of October in Bellflower, California to William and Catherine Carter. He is an American screenwriter and producer, best known as the creator of The X-Files.
1979 - In college, he majored in journalism, graduating from California State University.
1985 - A big break in his career came, when Jeffrey Katzenberg, then chairman of Walt Disney Studio Entertainment, read a screenplay he wrote and signed him to development with Walt Disney Pictures.
1989 - He was creator and executive producer of a comedy series called Brand New Life for Disney's Sunday night lineup.
1993 - Upon the creation and production of The X-Files, he started a production company called Ten Thirteen Productions.
