1944 - She was born in South Weymouth, Maine, U.S.A. on the 21st of November.
1960 - Carsey began her career in television as a tour guide at NBC, later becoming a story editor for the Tomorrow Entertainment company.
1966 - She attended the University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire, B.A. in English Literature.
1974-1978 - She joined ABC as a program executive concentrating on comedy programming, rising, to senior vice president of prime-time series. While at ABC.
