Carnot, Lazare Hippolyte
1801 - Born on October 6th at St. Omer. French politician.
1848 - He became the minister of education.
1849 - He was defeated in the parliamentary elections.
1850 - Carnot regained a seat in a by-election.
1851 - He was one of the deputies who opposed the coup d'état of Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte on December 2nd.
- He abandoned his seat after refusing to take the oath of loyalty to Louis-Napoleon.
1888 - Died on March 16th in Paris.
