1923 – He was born on the 6th of November in Cairo, Egypt.
1949 – Capecchi debuted as Amonasro (Verdi’s Aida) at Reggio Emilia.
1951 – He was engaged by the Metropolitan Opera, making his debut in New York on the 24th of November, as the elder Germont in La traviata.
1954-1975 – He remained on the roster there, and returned as both singer and stage director.
1988 – He created the part of the Maestro di Cappella in Sylvano Bussotti’s L’ispirazione at the premiere in Florence.
1998 – He died on the 30th of June in Milan.
