1953 – Began performing his theatrical work Yo Colón ("I, Columbus") in the Teatro de los Insurgentes.

 

1956 – Starred in movie "Around the World in Eighty Days".

 

1957 – Won the Golden Globe for Around the World in Eighty Days.

 

1961 – Received Golden Globe Special Award.

 

1993 – He died on 20th of April because of lung cancer in Mexico City, Mexico.
